    What You’ll Do:

    As our Operations Executive, you’ll sit at the heart of our Customer Success and Technical Operations teams helping customers solve technical challenges, keeping our systems running smoothly, and improving how we work across the company.

    What you’ll do

    • Be the first point of contact for customer technical queries (email, chat, phone)

    • Troubleshoot software, data, and connectivity issues

    • Support customer onboarding, updates, and configuration

    • Track issues using Jira, Slack, and Salesforce

    • Support internal IT, product testing, and software releases

    • Help monitor systems and work with DevOps to keep services running

    What we’re looking for

  • Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – PTP Services, Low Latency Connectivity & Cyber Security

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    Hoptroff is a leading provider of ultra-precise timing solutions for finance, telecommunications, and other high-performance industries. We deliver accurate, resilient, and secure timekeeping services to organisations operating in mission-critical, compliance-driven environments.

    We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help evolve and protect our global timing network infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in ensuring ultra-low latency delivery, accurate time synchronisation, and robust cybersecurity.

    What You’ll Do

    Time Synchronisation

    • Deploy and support PTP (IEEE 1588), NTP, and emerging standards such as White Rabbit.

    • Work with GPS/GNSS, PPS, LEO satellite sources, and national time authorities.

    • Configure and troubleshoot PTP grandmaster, boundary, and transparent clocks.

    Core Network Engineering

    • Build and maintain low-latency L2/L3 networks across global environments.

    • Configure high-performance switching platforms (Cisco Nexus).

    • Maintain Cisco Firepower (FMC / FTD) for secure, scalable operations.

    • Configure IPSec tunnels and secure communication protocols.

    • Produce high-quality technical documentation.

    Cyber Security & Risk

    • Manage IDS/IPS systems and lead threat detection/response efforts.

    • Conduct vulnerability assessments, patching, and penetration test coordination.

    • Support ISO27001/ISO9001 compliance and governance activities.

    • Participate in incident response, recovery, and continuity planning.

    Collaboration & Support

    • Work cross-functionally with Software, Systems, and Project teams.

    • Provide expert troubleshooting and participate in an on-call rotation.

    • Monitor latency, performance, and security using advanced tools.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement through learning and innovation.

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5–10 years’ experience in mission-critical or low-latency network environments (finance, telco, MSP, defence).

    • Degree in Computer Science, Networking, Cyber Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

    • Cisco CCNP/CCIE (Security or Enterprise) strongly preferred.

    • Proven experience delivering NTP/PTP services.

    • Strong low-latency L2/L3 expertise (STP/RSTP/LACP, OSPF, BGP).

    • Multicast experience (IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM, MSDP).

    • Strong Linux CLI + networking tools (tcpdump, wireshark, nmap).

    • Experience with Cisco Nexus & Firepower.

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure and support global operations.

    • Right to live and work in the UK.

    Bonus Experience

    • Network automation (Python, scripting).

    • AWS/GCP networking exposure.

    • Familiarity with White Rabbit timing networks.
